Closure of Meadowland Charter District at the End of the 2025–2026 School Year
Dear Parent/Guardian and Staff,
As part of required outreach to students, parents/guardians, and staff, we are writing to notify you that Meadowland Charter District will officially close at the end of the 2025–2026 school year. The Texas Education Agency (TEA) confirmed the Meadowland Charter District (MCD) closure and the campuses operating under the charter as a public, accredited school: Oaks Academy and Stepping Stones.
Before anything else, we want to take a moment to recognize and honor the many years Meadowland Charter District has dedicated to serving the youth of Meadowland. Through Oaks Academy and Stepping Stones, countless students have been provided with educational opportunities, stability, encouragement, and meaningful support throughout their academic journeys. The impact this school community has had on the lives of youth and families over the years is deeply valued and appreciated.
While transitions can often bring mixed emotions, we are also hopeful about the future and excited to continue supporting our youth through RMYA’s partnership with Ki Charter beginning next school year. We believe this partnership will create new opportunities for growth, connection, and educational success for the youth we serve.
Our priority throughout this transition remains ensuring students, guardians, and families feel informed, supported, and encouraged every step of the way. We are grateful for the trust, collaboration, and advocacy that caseworkers, guardians, educators, and support systems continue to provide to our youth each day.
Please take a moment to review the following information thoroughly, as it contains important information regarding timelines, records requests, and next steps. Should you have any questions or need additional support, please do not hesitate to reach out. We look forward to continuing this journey together in support of the youth we proudly serve.
Kind regards,
Meadowland Leadership
